Two Night Family Treehouse Break (Wales)

The treehouses are located in a stunning landscape 8 miles from the bustling market town of Machynlleth in Mid Wales, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, approximately 15 miles from fine sandy beaches. Built within Oak, Larch and Scots Pine woodland, alongside open pastures and mountain streams.

There are just 3 individual treehouses. Designed to the highest standards - each is different and dependant upon the trees within which it is built. Interiors are individually created by a Swedish designer. Expect a comfortable bed, retro furniture, luxurious fabrics and lots more - plus everything you need to cook with.

Your treehouse has an ensuite Swedish compost toilet - accessed over a rope bridge! Your treehouse is equip with solar lanterns and wind-up lamps, contributing to romantic and peaceful nights as there is no electricity!

This experience is for two nights - with arrival after 4.00pm on Day 1 and departure before 11.30am on Day 3. This experience is for a family of up to 4 people, with each treehouse including a luxurious double bed, and two comfy bunk-style beds.

This is a self catering holiday. For basic provisions, there is an "honesty" shop located on site, however we advise to bring as much food and drink as you can. There is also a small village shop two miles away and a local pub 15 minute walk away (an hour coming back!?). You will find firelighters, and a supply of firewood for the wood-burning stove, in your treehouse. Extra supplies of wood are available to purchase.

Activities

• Walks: There are fantastic walks to suit all abilities. The terrain is fairly rugged, but you are rewarded by magnificent views and landscapes.
• Mountain Biking: There are mountain bike routes to satisfy everyone from beginners to experienced riders. Bikes can be hired when you confirm the date of your stay.
• Beaches: Enjoy some of the finest beaches in Wales and there are opportunities to try Kite Surfing, Kite Boarding and much more.
• Alternative Therapies: A range of exceptional local healers and therapists are available, and can come to your treehouse.
• Library: Each treehouse has a small library, which includes guides to the local area and recommendations for visits and activities.
• All additional information regarding the various activities stated above will be provide at the time of booking.

Ensure to bring plenty of outdoorsy clothes and boots as your treehouse is located in an unspoilt landscape, perfect for walking and exploring. Linen is supplied, but you should bring your own bath towels and toiletries.

Parking is about 400yards away from the tree house but you will be helped with your luggage and trolleys are available.

This experience is available year round. You can book your break to start on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Try to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially during the summer period where weekends tend to get booked up quickly.

Your car can be driven to within 400 yards of the treehouse site, after which some fairly flat walking on grass is required.

Some treehouses have spiral staircases as their primary access, please make clear at the time of booking if this is likely to cause difficulty.

This experience is not weather dependent. The treehouses have been designed to be cosy and comfortable year-round.
