Two Night Luxury Tipi Eco Retreat (Wales)

Escape from the world for a two night retreat in a breathtaking location in the Welsh mountains, far removed from the stresses of everyday life.

Surrounded by miles of open countryside you can enjoy forest and mountain walks, relax by streams or just snuggle down by the cosy fire. Your accommodation is in a beautiful and spacious 21 foot diameter tipi, situated in its own secluded area and lovingly furnished with everything you need – a wood burning chimney fire, sheepskin rugs, plush cushions and a comfortable double bed with organic bed linen.

This is the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. There are just four tipis and two yurts spread out over a fifty acre site, so you really will find space to unwind and be yourself.

The tipis are beautiful natural structures, made locally and with poles made out of trees from the surrounding forest. Each tipi is fitted with an inner lining and awning to make them extra cosy – with the fire going inside they are remarkably easy to warm even if it’s cold outside.

You’ll be provided with all your bedding and towels, as well as shampoo and soap. The furnishings in your tipi are carefully sourced and wherever possible are of organic materials and fair trade or local.

Each tipi has its own shower and wash unit fed by lovely spring water and Swedish design compost toilet system.

On arrival you will be greeted by your host and introduced to the Tipi which will be your home during your retreat – nestle down and relax in your new home! During your stay you can do as little or as much as you choose - many guests remain on site and chill out or enjoy forest and mountain walks. The stunning surroundings provide a variety of environments to explore - high mountains lie to the north and fantastic beaches lie to the west and south of the site.

Additional Activities:

• Relaxation: To help you fully unwind you can arrange a gentle healing session inside your tipi or take part in a relaxing guided meditation with one of our team of experienced therapists.
• Walks: There are fantastic walks both on site and in the local area to suit all abilities. The terrain can be steep, but you are rewarded by magnificent views and landscapes
• Mountain Biking: The surrounding forest is home to the CliMachx mountain bike trail. Bikes can be hired in the local town of Machynlleth.
• Local attractions: If you want to explore further there’s plenty to do in the area. Once you’re back on the main road you’re just a few minutes away from the fascinating Centre for Alternative Technology to the south or King Arthur’s Labyrinth and local craft centre to the north.
• Beaches: Within easy driving distance you’ll find the stunning beaches and dunes of Aberdyfi and Ynys Las. You can try your hand at Surfing, Kite Surfing, Wind Surfing and Kite Boarding.

The walks available around the site include walking on uneven ground, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.

The retreat is subject to availability – you are advised to book at least two months in advance. Each Tipi has its own washing and toilet unit located nearby with fresh spring water. Safe parking is available on site.

This is a self-catering experience so you will need to take supplies with you. Cooking facilities are provided in the tipi together with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, salt & pepper, a cool box with cool bricks and all the kitchen utensils you will need.
