Star in a Reasonably Priced Car (Staffordshire)

After individual coaching from our very own Speed Masters, and plenty of practice laps, you will be ready to push your reasonably priced car to the max on our awesome race track. We will film your every expression, as you throw your reasonably priced car around impossible bends, through lightning fast chicanes and down pure-power straights. The Speed Master's coaching will pay off as you push your straining steed to the max!

Where will you end up on the Leader Board? Well, that's down to you!

And there's more ... the top 5 drivers on the leader board, on November 30th 2010, will return to our Championship track, free of charge, for a head-to-head showdown for the fantastic Leader board Trophy and £1000.00 prize money!

This is the ultimate driving challenge, real motorsport for a terrific prize. Come and be the Star in a Car!

The Experience:

You will be racing against the clock in race-modified road cars, fitted with full race-spec safety gear. Nerve, skill and total determination required to get the fastest lap time possible. You will receive full training from experienced professional racing drivers. Get great tips on racing lines, under-steer, over-steer and getting the most out of your car!

Now it's time for your Hot Laps - and remember, this is total competition in cars, with a big cash prize. Your runs are timed to 1/100th of a second and every driver gets a place on the leader board at the end of the day. The 5 highest placed drivers on November 30th 2010, will be back to our Championship Raceway to compete for the Leaderboard Trophy and the £1000.00 prize!

Itinerary:

You will be in a group of 15 participants. Start times vary.

1. 00.00 - Arrival - Race Overall fitting / Event Briefing.
2. 00.30 - Meet the Speed Masters and your Reasonably Priced Car!!
3. 00.40 - You will be driven around the circuit with your Speed Master explaining the racing lines and braking zones.
4. 00.50 - You drive the Long Course race track, with your pro-driver Speed Master explaining how to get more from your reasonably priced car!
5. 01.00 - All eyes on you. The camera is rolling, the timers are ready and the track is clear to go. It's your first Hot Lap for a place on the Leaderboard!
6. 01.30 - It's time to grid up for another shot at the leader board. No-holds-barred, for the hottest lap of your life!
7. 02.00 - Return to Leader board HQ, for debriefing and to find out where you
   are on the Leader Board. The top 5 at the end of the year will return to drive for the £1000.00 prize!
8. 02.30 - Certificate presentations and depart at Leisure.

Availability:

The Star in a Car experience is available on selected dates - both on weekdays and at weekends, subject to availability. Start times vary and can be confirmed at the time of booking.

Based at the Curborough Sprint Circuit, Staffordshire.

Please note vouchers are valid for 12 months.

Your soundtrack: Be sure to bring a CD of your favourite music to play during your Hot Laps - it has been known to help!

Availability: Runs from March to November.

Clothing: You should wear warm clothing as required and 'sensible' shoes / trainers. Bring waterproofs in the case of rain. Protective race suits are supplied by the operators.

Limitations: Participants must be reasonably fit and over 17 years old. Drivers must have a full manual car Driving Licence.

Max weight is 20 stone.

Weather: In the case of torrential rain, snow or ice, this activity may be postponed for comfort and safety reasons - in which case clients will be offered a range of alternative dates. The event operates a weather-weighting system, with wet lap times adjusted for the effect of weather.

Disabled Facilities: The raceway has wheelchair access viewing areas. In some cases, participation in this event is not possible for people with some disabilities.

Race Day Souvenirs: All participants receive a personalised souvenir certificate. A fully personalised video of your laps, including in-car footage, is available to purchase on the day of the event.

Report time: There are various starting times available on the day of the event, generally between 9.00am and 3.00pm. Total Time on site is around 2 1/2 hours.

Catering: Light refreshments and hot food are available to purchase throughout the event.

Spectators: Spectator admission is £10 and includes a souvenir Programme. There are good areas to watch from and the day is enjoyable for family and friends of participants. The raceway has few covered areas, so bring appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
