Additional Information

20ft Ropes: There are 11 elements at this level including:

  • Postmans Walk (tight rope with hand rope)
  • Islands in the Sky (hanging/swinging platforms)
  • Wind Chimes (hanging vertical logs)
  • Zip Wire into Scramble Net

40ft Ropes: There are 7 elements at this level including:

  • Burma Bridge - V shaped rope bridge through oak tree
  • Multi Vines - Tight rope with hanging vines to hang on to
  • 300ft. zip wire to 3G swing

3G Swing: an exhilarating ride for any participant who wants to experience the g-force effect. The swing can take 3 people at a time and is winched up to a maximum height of 45ft and one of the participants then releases it into a massive swing.

1,000ft zip wire and or an 80ft fan descender jump: a platform 80ft up a massive Grand Fir, which itself is over 150ft high, gives the braver participants the thrill of flying down a 1,000ft zip wire and or dropping on a fan descender in a controlled vertical jump (this is similar, but much higher, than the fan descenders used by the armed forces for parachute training). Respectively the zip wire and fan descender are thought to be Britain's longest and highest.

The Woodland Walk:If you'd rather keep your feet firmly on the ground, then enjoy our woodland walk and witness the oldest example of Continuous Cover Forestry in Britain. The Woods are unique in England for their combination of beauty, number of species, ecological sophistication, sustainable forestry management and commercial viability. You will walk under the canopy of some of the oldest trees in the wood, some of which are over 250 years old and reaching heights of 100 feet. The younger second and third generation trees are 70-110 years old and many of them are now between 120 and 140 feet in height, most of them being self-sown.

Free car parking: we have a hard standing area for 50 cars.

Food and Refreshments: are available at our café and BBQ to order. We have a magnificent covered picnic pavillion constructed using timber from the wood and milled on the estate, with an open log fire for shelter and dining.

Under 10's play area - for those members of the family who are too young, we have a play area, consisting of four elements and a mini zip wire (to be supervised by an accompanying adult).

Agenda

On arrival, you’ll be greeted by fully trained instructors who’ll run through initial instruction on the training course. This includes familiarisation with the safety harness and ancillary equipment as well as how to attach yourself to the safety wires of the ropes course. The team will then help you get into your harness followed by a practice course. You’ll always be under direct supervision of an instructor at all times.

The course is set at two different heights - low ropes at 20ft. and high ropes at 40ft. for the more extreme participant. You’ll also get to experience the 3G swing, 1000ft and 80ft fan descender jump!

You’ll also be provided with a light snack and a woodland walk.

Based in Norfolk.
