Hot Air Balloon Pilot Training Taster

You get a fully prepared balloon with professionally trained flight crew, and the chance for you to take the controls all at a fixed price. Invite your friends, family, colleagues or clients to watch as you take to the air! You can also have one other person in the basket with you to experience the flight.

On the day of your flight:

• Meet at your chosen launch site at the time confirmed on our Weather Check Line.
• You will receive a full briefing by your Training Pilot.
• The flight training will last for approx. 1 hour, but we do suggest you leave 3-4 hours for the whole experience.
• Once you have landed, passengers are able to help the crew pack up the balloon.
• We will provide transport back to the launch site.

This voucher entitles the holder to fly any morning (approximately 6am) or evening (approximately 6pm) including Bank Holidays.

Please note that vouchers are valid for 12 months.

The Pilot Training Taster experience allows up to 2 people on the flight with a pilot, 1 person will have the chance to fly the balloon.

It is recommended that you book your Pilot Training Taster within the first 3 months of purchase.

Once a voucher is purchased it is non-refundable.

Ballooning is a very weather dependent activity and flights can get cancelled if the weather conditions are not suitable on the day. If a flight is cancelled, it is simply a case of rebooking your flight.

People should not fly if they are suffering any serious illnesses. If in any doubt, you should contact your GP as we are not qualified to assess your condition. Please note you will need to be able to stand unassisted for at least one hour during the flight.

You must not fly if you are, or think you may be pregnant. If you have vouchers with us and are pregnant we will extend your vouchers by 9 months.

There is no upper age limit. Provided you are in good health and can stand for an hour we can fly you. The Pilot Training Taster is not available to children under sixteen years of age. Children aged between seven and sixteen may fly with an adult. Please contact our office for further information.
