Flying Start Microlight Experience (Cambridgeshire)

Our microlight training school is based at Sutton Meadows airfield, near Ely in Cambridgeshire. Ideally based in the flatlands of Fenland, it is the closest microlight school to Cambridge itself, and easily accessible from the A1(M) and A14.

This experience consists of a full briefing, before a cross-country flight to another airfield, where a break and possibly refreshments will be provided (depending on the chosen airfield).

Then, if the conditions allow, you will take the pilots seat for the flight home. These flights count towards your license, and will be entered as your first flights in your own logbook, provided as part of the experience.

Total experience time approx 3-4hrs, with around 2hrs flight time.

Based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Please note vouchers are valid for 12 months.

Maximum weight 110kg. People should not fly if they are suffering any serious illnesses. If in any doubt, you should contact your GP as we are not qualified to assess your condition. This experience is weather dependable, strong wind or poor visibility could cause the experience to be cancelled. You will need to call our weather check line at 9am on the morning of your flight to double check. We fly all year round, Friday - Wednesday (Thursdays off).
