The first flight is known as a "Trial Lesson” and it provides an excellent opportunity to sample the delights of gliding or flying. Your flight is taken with a fully qualified BGA instructor, in a dual controlled self launching glider.
Trial Lessons are normally booked in advance, especially during the 'peak season' - May to October.
Your flight will normally last for around 20-25 minutes depending on weather conditions at the time.
Your experience will last approx. 1 hour in total.
Based in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire.
On arrival, you will be asked to read the Safety and Medical Information Sheet then to complete a temporary membership form. Your Experience begins with a ground briefing from your instructor, giving explanations on the glider and any safey information, after which you will start up the engine and get ready for your launch.
You can choose at the time of your flight whether you wish to switch the engine off and glide silently back down to the ground, or keep it running and go and visit the local area - it's up to you!
As well as savouring the view and experience, the instructor will demonstrate how the controls fly the aircraft and encourage the new pilot to take over and enjoy all the fun and freedom of flying. As the aircraft descends, the instructor will again take command and gently bring you back in to land.
Trial Lessons are normally booked in advance, especially during the 'peak season' - May to October.
This voucher is valid for 12 months.

If you are unable to fly on your booked slot, we will re-schedule for the next available day.
