Agenda

Our microlight training school is based at Sutton Meadows airfield, near Ely in Cambridgeshire. Ideally based in the flatlands of Fenland, it is the closest microlight school to Cambridge itself, and easily accessible from the A1(M) and A14.

Upon your arrival at Sutton Meadows airfield, you will receive a briefing and be shown around the aircraft. Spectators are very welcome, and there will be an opportunity for photographs.

Then, you will be strapped in and take to the skies safe in the hands of our very experienced instructors. Depending on weather conditions and time available, you may well be able to see your house from the air, or take a tour around the unique landscape of Cambridgeshire.

You can even take a camera airborne with you as long as it is fitted with a good quality safety strap. After landing, you will be presented with a certificate and we will be happy to discuss options with you should you decide to take the sport up and obtain your Private Pilots License.

Please note vouchers are valid for 12 months.

Maximum weight 110kg. People should not fly if they are suffering any serious illnesses. If in any doubt, you should contact your GP as we are not qualified to assess your condition. This experience is weather dependable, strong wind or poor visibility could cause the experience to be cancelled. You will need to call our weather check line at 9am on the morning of your flight to double check (provided with your voucher). We fly all year round, Friday - Wednesday (Thursdays off).
